The Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organizations provides a framework for the humanitarian sector on climate and environmental action. It sets out commitments to guide humanitarian organizations to take transformative action to help reduce the impacts of the climate and environmental crises we are facing. The 500 signatories include local/national NGOs, INGOs, Red Cross Red Crescent National Societies, UN agencies, and 14 Donor/Government supporters. Informed by signatory priorities, the Charter Secretariat is supporting the sector in deepening their knowledge and capacity for advancing Charter commitments in fragile and conflict-affected setting (FCAS), including through sharing tailored guidance and knowledge sharing opportunities.
