Climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and environmental degradation are reshaping humanitarian landscape — intensifying disasters, displacing communities, and straining the systems designed to respond to crises. Community World Service Asia, the European Commission’s Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) and the Secretariat for the Climate and Environment Charter for Humanitarian Organizations are organizing a webinar exploring how humanitarian action can become more environmentally sustainable without compromising its effectiveness, scale, or impact.
The webinar will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences on global and regional frameworks on environment sustainability. It will also give space to explore the use of global and regional climate commitments for meaningful local actions.
